I am currently accepting clients who need evaluations and interventions for Problem Behavior ages 2-adult.

baby throwing bottle I am trained in and teach Unversity courses in functional assessment, functional analysis, and function based interventions for problem behavior.

What you can expect from me:

  • I will do an intensive evaluation of your child's problem behavior. Assessments include gathering information not only about problem behavior but also strengths and skills of the person and the people around him/her.This evaluation might include
    • a review of your child's information (e.g., IEPs, medical evaluations)
    • interviews of you, school staff, and others in the house with your permission
    • Videotaped and in-person observations
    • Structured assessments in your home with your assistance
  • I will come and do initial training and then supervise the programs, make changes, etc…and keep in contact with you through phone, email, and my internet site.
  • I will ask you and members of your team to use my internet site for training and other resources.
  • Each family has a protected interactive area in my site to read notes, ask questions and interact with all of the members of the team.
  • I will also observe people implementing the protocols and give direct feedback to you.
  • There’s a lot of data collection. We don’t make changes without data!
  • I will give you strategies for communication training and interacting with your child.
  • I may ask you to do something that might be counterintuitive or contradicts what others might have told you. If you have questions/concerns, ASK. I do respect your opinions!
  • Please remember that NONE of us has all of the answers. I can’t predict the outcome, but I will do my very best to help you and your child reach his/her potential.

If you are interested in my services please email me at chrisbarthold@bartholdautism.com or by phone at 301-604-7392. I look forward to hearing from you!
